Between 2009 and 2015, she was the vice-dean for economic affairs (Faculty of Political Science and Sociology, UAB) and between 2016 and 2018, the coordinator of the Political Science Unit of the UAB. She is the scientific coordinator of the EUGOV Consolidated Research Group and the principal investigator of the EUDEL Project: \u2018Delegation in the Post-Lisbon Era: a quantitative analysis of comitology\u2019 (UAB\/EUI) funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (2018-2021). She has been a visiting researcher at the European University Institute in Florence, the University of California at Berkeley, the University of California at San Diego, the University of Chicago and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She currently investigates EU decision-making, democratic accountability and transparency in EU policy-making, and the formulation and implementation of EU climate policy. She has published articles at the Journal of European Public Policy, Journal of Common Market Studies, Government &amp; Opposition, International Review of Administrative Sciences, Administration &amp; Society, Parliamentary Affairs, Environmental Politics, and Ecology &amp; Society, among others. As a Professor, he has broad experience in teaching and researching on European Union politics, comparative politics and public policy. He has been awarded the Jean Monnet Chair in EU Governance three times (2016-2018, 2018-2021 and 2021-2024).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He received his PhD in Political Sciences from the Interuniversity Center for Social Science, Theory and Methodology (ICS) at the University of Groningen (The Netherlands). She holds a PhD in Political Science from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Her work covers the fields of European Union politics, public policy and migration studies. Irina&#8217;s main area of research is in the field of European Union politics and policy-making, where she studies the effects of European distributive and redistributive policies on mass audiences. Irina is coordinating a research project on the effect of Next Generation EU funds on the political opinions of economic actors. The project is entitled \u2018Business and politics. Her research interests include governance, accountability, regulation, trust, transparency, European Union institutions. She obtained her PhD in Political and Social Sciences from Pompeu Fabra University in December 2013, with European Doctorate Mention. Prior to joining the UAB, she was a Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral research fellow at the Institut Barcelona d&#8217;Estudis Internacionals (IBEI). She has also been a visiting researcher at the Utrecht University School of Governance, Leiden University, the University of Antwerp, the European University Institute, and the Copenhagen Business School. He also holds a Master&#8217;s degree in Public Affairs from Indiana University and was a La Caixa postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University&#8217;s Kennedy School of Government. He has taught semester-long courses at Indiana University, the College of Europe (Bruges), the University of Montpellier, the Barcelona Institute of International Studies (IBEI) and, in shorter formats, at various higher education institutions in Latin America. He has also collaborated with the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB-BID). He is a member of the Institute of Government and Public Policy (IGOP) at the UAB. He was director of the Department of Political Science and Public Law, coordinator of the Master&#8217;s Degree in Public Management (UAB-UB-UPF) and first secretary-editor of the Spanish Journal of Political Science. His initial research interest focused on public policy evaluation and administrative innovation and reform. He received his PhD in Political Science from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in 2019. He was previously postdoctoral researcher at Milan University and Institut Barcelona d\u2019Estudis Internacionals (IBEI). His research interests lie in European integration, particularly the socioeconomic governance of the EMU, social policy, and international political economy, particularly in relation to globalisation and state transformations. She obtained my PhD from the University of Bamberg, Germany, and previously held a postdoctoral position at the School of Economics and Political Science at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. Her research interests include the making of (EU) public policy and the mechanisms and effects of Europeanisation. Her research has appeared as a monograph with Routledge and as articles in Governance, Journal of European Integration, JCMS Journal of Common Market Studies, Politics &amp; Governance and Regulation &amp; Governance. His main research areas are legislative bargaining and elite behaviour in the European Union\u2019s institutions and the effect of automation on the European political landscape. He obtained a master\u2019s degree in Geopolitics and Strategic Studies at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and a bachelor\u2019s degree in political science and international Relations at Bah\u00e7e\u015fehir University. Her research examines the governance of long-term care policies, focusing on issues of quality of care, trust, and accountability in public service provision, particularly in the context of nursing home services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She holds two BA degrees in Political Science and Public Management, and in Sociology from the UAB. Previously, at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, she interim coordinated the EU Horizon2020 ITFLOWS (IT Tools and Methods for Managing Migration Flows) project, in addition to research duties relating to mixed migration flows to Europe since the start of the project. She also coordinated \u00abGendered crimmigration discourse and practices: Catalan case and multilevel governance potential\u00bb funded by the Institut Catal\u00e0 Internacional per la Pau, and engaged in the project, \u00abCrimmigration in Europe: Compounded Dilution of Asylum-seekers\u2019 and Women\u2019s Human Rights\u00bb as a 2021-2022 reconstitution Fellow (a Forum Transregionale Studien and Democracy Reporting International program funded by Stiftung Mercator). Earlier research addressed identity construction among youth of migrant origin, as well as aspirational outcomes and experiences of discrimination, with a particular focus on European Muslim youth. He holds a PhD in Economics from the Universit\u00e1 degli Studi di Firenze and a MA in Political Science from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. He is a professor at the Department of Political Science at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and collaborates with the CEI, International Affairs, where he is responsible for the preparation to the diplomatic career in the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Since 2012, he has also been an affiliated professor at IBEI, where he teaches courses on the European Union and public policies.<br><br>His research interests focus on public policies, with a particular emphasis on multilevel governance in the context of EU policy-making and transnational governance. Some of his recent research analyses territorial cooperation (macro and euroregions), cohesion policy, development cooperation, international relations, sustainability and the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
